It is used to automatically fill a water tank from a pump located a few hundred meters away. It consists of two main parts, the transmitter in the tank and the receiver in the pumping station panel. The transmitter detects the level of the tank and sends start or stop commands to the pump accordingly. This eliminates the need for constant monitoring of the tank level. The big advantage of using the PT690 is that the commands from the tank to the pump are transmitted wirelessly, so the installation costs are significantly reduced. The range of the system is up to 500m, with good line of sight. The commands are sent in encrypted form and cannot be tampered with.
The system is also available as:
PT690DSET, when the tank is filled simultaneously by two pump stations.
PT690SSET, when there is no mains voltage in the tank (the power supply is replaced by a solar panel – charger – battery assembly).
PT690DSSET, when the tank is filled simultaneously by two pumping stations and there is no mains voltage.
PT690HSET, when the level control in the tank must be carried out by means of hanging electrodes.
