The PT960 code transponder is used in conjunction with 169MHz tank-pump remote control systems. It relays the signal in cases where long distances have to be covered or large physical obstacles (e.g. mountains) have to be overcome, ensuring the coupling. It is always placed in the highest possible position to ensure a reliable line of sight to the points of interest and is powered by mains voltage. The range of the system is 20km and depends on the propagation conditions.
