It is used to automatically fill a water tank from a pump located several kilometres away. It consists of two main parts, the transmitter in the tank and the receiver in the pumping station panel. The transmitter detects the level in the tank (via hanging electrodes) and sends start or stop commands to the pump (PT612SET type remote control receiver). This eliminates the need for constant monitoring of the tank level. The range of the system is up to 15km, with good line of sight. The big advantage of using the PT620 is that the commands from the tank to the pump are transmitted wirelessly, so the installation costs are significantly reduced. The commands are sent in absolute encryption and are impossible to break.
The system is also available as PT620FSET if the level control in the tank is done with a float, and as PT620DSET with the possibility of controlling two pumps from the same tank.
